Dr. Subhash Kaul is a Senior Consultant Neurologist at KIMS Neuroscience with over 30 years of experience, internationally recognised for his contributions to stroke neurology. He completed his MBBS and MD in General Medicine at Government Medical College, Srinagar, and his DM in Neurology at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh — one of India's premier medical training institutions. He holds fellowships from the American Stroke Association (FASA), the American Academy of Neurology (FAAN), the Indian Academy of Neurology (FIAN), and the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP).

Dr. Kaul is the founder of the Hyderabad Stroke Registry — one of the first comprehensive institutional stroke registries in South India — which has generated landmark epidemiological data on stroke patterns, subtypes, risk factors, and outcomes in the South Indian population. His participation in the Indo-US Stroke Project and the China-India Stroke Registry comparison studies has produced internationally cited evidence establishing intracranial atherosclerosis as the leading ischaemic stroke subtype in South India. He has over 198 publications indexed on research databases with more than 4,600 citations, making him one of the most cited clinicians at KIMS Neuroscience.
